How do I unlock unlimited properties, export, and reminders?

Tap any locked action in the app — adding a second property, adding a second unit, exporting a report, or turning on rent reminders. That opens the one-time unlock. It's a single purchase, not a subscription.

I bought the unlock before, or got a new phone. How do I restore it?

Open the unlock screen and tap “Restore Purchases.” The unlock is tied to your Apple ID, so it restores on any device signed in with the same account, at no extra cost.

Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?

Everything stays on your device. It's included in your iCloud or computer backups if you have those turned on in iOS. RentalVault does not have its own cloud sync yet — it's planned for a future update — so if you delete the app without a backup, its data can't be recovered.

Can I change the currency?

Yes. Tap the gear on the Home screen to open Settings, then choose your display currency. Amounts throughout the app update to match. Expense categories and reports still follow US Schedule E.

Why are the expense categories US-specific?

They're aligned to IRS Schedule E, the form US landlords use to report rental income and expenses, so your PDF or CSV export maps cleanly onto tax filing.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Fully. RentalVault is offline-first — there's no account and no server — so you can log rent or a repair on-site even with no signal.

How do I edit or delete something I logged?

Open the item — a property, unit, lease, payment, expense, or maintenance record — to reach its detail screen, where you can edit or delete it. Deleting also cleans up any attached photos or documents.
